Kidderminster Town Council is undertaking a public consultation to help the Council to understand more about what is important to the people of Kidderminster. The Council wants to know what residents think of the Council and the services they provide. The feedback will help the Council to shape its vision and budgets for the future and to improve the delivery of its services.
Councillor George Connolly, Town Mayor, said that the Council is entering a historic phase in its development. “ The town council was established in 2015 and next year we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. Next year we will be reopening the Town Hall following a major refurbishment and transformation project and we are confident that it will be a fantastic asset for the town centre and the people of Kidderminster.
In 2021 we took on the services and responsibilities for three of the parks in the town, St. George’s Park, Broadwater Park and Baxter Gardens. We have had great feedback from the general public and the Friends Groups that we work with in these parks and we are confident that our local focus has resulted in improved maintenance and facilities.
After 10 years we think it is appropriate that we should consult the people of Kidderminster to get their views on how we have performed and their ideas as to where we might go over the next 10 years. Our public consultation goes live from the 28th of October and closes on Sunday the 1st of December. I would encourage all residents to complete the survey, as your views are really important to us and will help us to shape future of the Town Council.”
