Your Town Council

Kidderminster Town Council was created on 1 December 2015 by the Kidderminster (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2015. It was invited to agree a resolution at its first meeting to adopt the status of a town and the style of a town council.

Wyre Forest District Council carried out a Community Governance Review to establish whether to create a parish for the town.

As part of the Review, the Council held a Local Advisory Poll in May 2015.  It asked Kidderminster residents, who were registered to vote, ‘Should Kidderminster have a Town Council?.’ Almost 80% (79.1%) voted in favour.

More information is available about the formation of Kidderminster Town Council on Wyre Forest District Council’s Community Governance review of Kidderminster page.
