Motorists are being advised that roads in Kidderminster town centre will be closed on a rolling basis during this Sunday’s Remembrance parade (Sunday 12th November 2023).
The parade starts from the New Road Car Park at 10.20am, making its way through the town centre and up to St Mary and All Saints Church on St Mary’s Ringway by 10.50am.
There will be a service outside at the memorial.
The parade leaves St Mary’s at approximately 11:40pm for the return journey through the town centre, concluding at the New Road car park at about 12.15pm.
Permission for temporary road closures has been granted by Wyre Forest District Council between 8:00am and 1.00pm affecting New Road, Bridge Street, Oxford Street, Vicar Street, Bull Ring, Lower Mill Street and St Mary’s Ringway.
Lee Jakeman, Chief Executive said:
“The roads will be closed on a rolling basis to cause minimum disruption to all road users while ensuring the safe passage of the parade.”
“I would advise all road users to avoid using the affected roads during the times of the parade to prevent any potential delays to their journey.”
“We welcome all residents to join us in honouring those servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country”
