Ongoing Improvements Across Kidderminster’s Parks
The Kidderminster Town Council’s Public Realm and Operations Team has been hard at work making improvements across our beloved parks, ensuring they remain beautiful and safe spaces for our community.

Broadwaters Mill Park Enhancements

One of the key areas receiving attention is Broadwaters Mill Park. Our dedicated team has been busy refreshing and revitalising several features within the park:

  • Benches and Statues: The benches throughout the park have been given a fresh coat of paint, bringing them back to life. Additionally, the Miller Statue, a cherished landmark, has also been carefully restored.
  • Park lighting. The lighting has been repaired and improved providing wonderful evening displays
  • Notice Boards and Iron Works: The notice boards have been updated, and the iron works around the historic Grade 2 listed mill building have been meticulously repainted, preserving their historical charm.
  • Tree Management: Two large trees that had fallen across the pond were safely removed by our team. Rather than disposing of them, the trees are being repurposed to create “log pile” habitats, providing a haven for local wildlife.
  • Pond and Stream Improvements: We are currently undertaking improvements to the edges of the pond and stream. These enhancements aim to improve water quality, increase biodiversity, and create a more enjoyable environment for all park visitors.

These efforts are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining and enhancing the green spaces that make Kidderminster a wonderful place to live. We encourage residents and visitors alike to explore Broadwaters Mill Park and see these improvements firsthand.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to work on projects across the town!
