Mayor’s Charity Ball a Success!
September 7, 2019

Last Friday the Mayor, Councillor Martin Stooke, was proud to host his Charity Ball, themed ‘A Day at the Races’ at Kidderminster Town Hall. The fundraiser was very well attended by local mayors, councillors and members of the public and included a superb performance from SUSA, a local ukulele band.

With tremendous help from local businesses that donated raffle and auction prizes, the event raised approximately £1300 in funds for his three local Mayoral charities for the civic year; Forest Dog Rescue, Alzheimer’s Society and Guide Dogs UK. Fundraising activities included a raffle, envelope draw and an auction held by Councillor Marcus Hart, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council.

The Mayor said:

“I am delighted at how successful the event has been at raising money for three remarkable charities. I would like to thank the performers, attendees and local businesses that helped make the evening so memorable.”
