Town Mayor pays tribute to long serving Town Crier

At the Town Council meeting on Wednesday 16th December 2020, the Town Mayor, Councillor Sarah Rook, paid tribute to former Town Crier Mr. Jim Pearman, who has recently passed away.

Councillor Rook said Jim had served as Town Crier for Kidderminster for over 10 year from 2006 up to his retirement in 2017. Jim was a distinctive character in the town with his bright red uniform and top hat.

Jim has served the town at a national and international level in town crier events. He was also the first Town Crier of the newly formed Town Council back in 2015

The Town Council observed a minutes silence in memory of Jim and his service to the town.
