On Wednesday 25th March, the Mayor of Kidderminster, Councillor Doug Hine, and the High Sheriff of Worcestershire, Ian Smith, visited several inspiring charities and community organisations across Kidderminster. These included:
- Kidderminster Foodbank
- H.E.L.P
- Simply Limitless
- Emily Jordan Foundation
The visits provided an opportunity to learn more about the vital services these organisations deliver, as well as the ongoing challenges they encounter in supporting those in need.
It also offered a chance for the Mayor and High Sheriff to express their sincere appreciation to the staff, trustees, and volunteers whose dedication and hard work make a real difference to the local community.
Throughout the day, both the Mayor and High Sheriff were impressed by the strong sense of community spirit and hard work within these organisations. Their work continues to play a crucial role in improving lives and strengthening support networks across Kidderminster.
During the visit, the High Sheriff also toured the Town Hall and met with volunteers at an end-of-project gathering. The event was attended by a number of volunteers, where the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Shazu Miah, spoke to recognise their valuable contributions.
The occasion marked the celebration of the William Hill organ being brought back into use.
