D Day 80th Anniversary

Join us at St Mary and All Saints Church, Kidderminster to commemorate D Day 80th Anniversary on Thursday 6th June 2024.

7.55am – Town Crier Proclamation by Stephen Day

8.00am – Bagpipes (Tribute to William (Bill) Millin) played by Craig Swarbrick – The Celtic Piper.  Standard Bearer supported by Kidderminster Branch of RBL

12noon – Midday Remembrance on D Day – A chance to gather for a 20 minute service to mark the anniversary, honour the bravery and pray for peace in the world today service held by Sue MacAskill, St Mary and All Saints Church, Kidderminster

6.30pm – Ringing out for Peace Bellringing by St Mary’s Society of Change Ringers and friends

9.05pm – Town Crier Proclamation by Stephen Day

9.10pm – Bagpipes (Tribute to William (Bill) Millin) played by Craig Swarbrick – The Celtic Piper

9.15pm – Tribute by Mayor Councillor George Connolly and lighting of Lamp Light of Peace to be followed by Bagpipes played by Craig Swarbrick – The Celtic Piper. Standard Bearer and Bugle to end Anniversary Event supported by Kidderminster Branch of RBL.
