Below are links to a selection of organisations that provide grants to community groups struggling throughout the Coronavirus crisis. There is also a selection of organisations that can help with individuals who may have fallen on financially hard times due to COVID-19. In order to apply, you must follow the link through to the organisation.

Supporting Charities and Volunteer Organisations across the country. Formed in 2003, Worcestershire Community Foundation work to link donor funds - from individuals, families, trusts, companies and government - to Worcestershire’s diverse network of local groups

Currently prioritizing applications from people and communities affected by COVID-19, such as Organisations supporting people who are at high risk from COVID-19, Organisations supporting communities most likely to face increased demand and challenges as a direct result of COVID-19 or with high potential to support communities with the direct and indirect impact of COVID-19

Tesco - Bags of Help

Bags of Help is a local community grant scheme where the money raised by the carrier bag charge in Tesco stores is being used to fund thousands of community projects. The projects must meet the criteria of bringing benefits to the community. Grants of up to £2,000 are available.

Greggs Foundation

The Local Community Projects Fund makes grants of up to £2,000 to help organisations based in local communities to deliver activities that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to. Organisations are able to apply once per calendar year. Currently applications for this grant are closed, however Greggs may reopen them soon.

Offering a range of grants designed for helping communities come together and supporting mental and physical health. To be accepted you must have a project in mind that will benefit your local community. Many applications are from charities or local community groups, but as long as your organisation isn’t run for private profit you can apply.
